By default when you type in a number blender will assume that number is a value in meters. The unit module allows you to convert values to the needed unit that you want to work with.

inch(inch) - Converts inch to meter

  • RETURNS - float
  • inch (float) - value in inches to convert to meter

millimeter(millimeter) - Converts millimeter to meter

  • RETURNS - float
  • millimeter (float) - value in millimeters to convert to meter

meter_to_inch(meter) - Converts meter to inch

  • RETURNS - float
  • meter (float) - meter value to convert to inch

meter_to_millimeter(meter) - Converts meter to millimeter

  • RETURNS - float
  • millimeter (float) - meter value to convert to millimeter

meter_to_active_unit(meter) - Converts meter to active unit. inch for imperial. millimeter for metric

  • RETURNS - float
  • meter (float) - meter value to convert

meter_to_exact_unit(meter) - Converts meter to active unit without rounding. inch for imperial. millimeter for metric

  • RETURNS - float
  • meter (float) - meter value to convert

inch_to_millimeter(inch) - Converts inch to millimeter

  • RETURNS - float
  • inch (float) - value in inches to convert to millimeter

decimal_inch_to_millimeter(inch) - Converts inch to millimeter returned as a decimal object

  • RETURNS - Decimal
  • inch (float) - value in inches to convert to millimeter

draw_dollar_price(value) - converts float to string that is formatted with a dollar sign and rounded to two decimal places. Used to display prices in an interface.

  • RETURNS - string
  • value (float) - value is dollars to convert to formatted string
